ES - Renovación de un mausoleo histórico en la zona patrimonial del Cementerio General de Santiago.
Junto con recuperar el mausoleo -reparando partes rotas, limpiando, etc.- , el proyecto contempla unas operaciones puntuales que acentúan el componente público del monumento en el Cementerio General.
El primer elemento adicional corresponde a una banca -mármol con estructura metálica- instalada a un costado de la puerta del mausoleo, frente a un naranjo existente y a la calle peatonal. El segundo elemento adicional corresponde a una placa de mármol grabada e instalada en la fachada del mausoleo. Esta placa cuenta la historia de Federico Puga :
"Federico Puga era considerado por la sociedad chilena de mediados del siglo XIX como hijo natural y no reconocido de Bernardo O’Higgins con Rosario Puga. También conocido como Federico Perez-Cotapos Puga y Federico Puga Vidaurre, una vez adulto comenzó a llamarse Federico Puga, sin usar segundos apellidos y alimentando la polémica respecto a su padre genético. A petición suya, la inscripción en su tumba solo incluyó el apellido de su madre, marcando diferencias con las costumbres de esa época."

EN - Renovation of a historic mausoleum in Santiago General Cemetery cultural heritage area.
Along with recovering the mausoleum -repairing broken parts, cleaning surfaces, etc-, the project includes specific operations that emphasize the public aspect of the monument in the context of the General Cemetery.
The first additional element is a bench - marble surface with steel structure - installed besides the mausoleum door, in front of an existing orange tree and the pedestrian street. The second additional element is a marble plaque installed on the facade of the mausoleum, engraved with the story of Federico Puga:
"Federico Puga was considered by Chilean society of mid-nineteenth century as a natural and unrecognized son of Bernardo O'Higgins with Rosario Puga, also known as Federico Perez-Cotapos Puga and Federico Puga Vidaurre. Once adult, he began calling himself Federico Puga , without using second surname and fueling the controversy with respect to his genetic father. At his request, the inscription in his tomb only included his mother's surname, marking differences with the customs of that time."
